Claustrophobic
Sometimes I feel claustrophobic — like I’m stuck and can’t breathe. It’s strange how just one word can do that to you. You have this entire world around you, but it feels like you’re trapped in a small, merciless grave of your own melancholy.
I hold that word in my mind, turning it over day and night. I can’t eat, I can’t sleep, I can’t even breathe, thinking about the things they said to me — things they can never take back, things I can never unhear.
And in the morning, when the sun begins to rise, I’m still stuck in my unforgiving box of claustrophobia.
For anyone who’s ever felt trapped by their own thoughts or weighed down by the words of others—you're not alone.
We can break free from this, one step at a time. If you’re struggling, please reach out. You're never truly alone. (Lifeline 13 11 14 / Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636)
