Something sparks in me around you. I become dangerous, strong, powerful. I feel invincible—like I could conquer the world—end hunger, move mountains, tear down cities. Anyone who’s ever doubted you? I’d kill for you. Anyone who’s ever spoken ill of you? I’d destroy them in a heartbeat. It’s always been for you.
And that’s why I stand here now, a bloody knife gripped in my hand, a dark grin pulling at my lips as I tower over you, still and lifeless at my feet. Even in death, your eyes—those hauntingly beautiful eyes—still give me butterflies. Your skin was soft, but now, it’s cold under my touch. I swore I’d kill anyone who ever doubted you. I pledged it to myself, and I’ve kept my promise.
You are my entire world. And nobody, not even you, will ever hurt you again.
