Sunsets

Her head rested softly on his chest, his fingers entwined with her hair as they stared off into the distance. Shades of orange and purple lit up the sky, the beautiful summer's day ending with one final show. She listened to the soft sounds of his breathing, matching her pace with his so they felt like one. A beautiful sky — and all he could admire was her delicate complexion, unable to believe she was truly his. Nothing mattered but them. He lifted her hand to his face, kissed it, and turned to her.
“I want to spend the rest of my sunsets with you.”
